Laboratorios LETI organised the 13th Conference on Allergology on 6th and 7th November

12/11/2015

After thirteen editions, the Allergology sessions organized by LETI has become a benchmark in the continuing training in allergology.

Ever since this conference was conducted for the first time in 2003, more than one thousand residents and specialists have attended this event which combines theoretical training with a joint discussion of clinical cases on the treatment of patients with an allergic disease in immunotherapy services.

On this occasion, one of the main conclusions of the Conference on Allergology was that immunotherapy is most effective than the use of elimination diets both in food allergies and in patients allergic to Hymenoptera venoms since 10% of the population react after a bite.

Like last year the Conference recognized the best clinical case among all those presented for discussion. The prize, a LETI scholarship to attend the 2016 Congress of the SEAIC went to Ana Raquel Freitas Gomes, from the University Hospital of Coimbra (Portugal).

The present edition was once again backed by the Spanish Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (SEAIC) and accredited with 1.8 credits by the Continuing Education Committee of the National Health System.
