Since the immune system is distributed
throughout the human body, allergic reactions produce highly
varied alterations depending on the location of the reaction.
For example, allergic reactions of the eyes can manifest as
reddening and itching (conjunctivitis), while skin reactions
can produce wheals or eczema (urticaria). In the case of the
lungs, bronchial obstruction with asthma may result.
